Our journey began in November of 2021 when our family relocated from Auckland to Nelson. Our founder, juggling the role of a stay-at-home mom, saw an opportunity to channel her creative energy and chase her dream by starting her entrepreneurial path with one passion in mind, the New Zealand outdoors.

Fun fact, we still don’t know what came first: our first product or the second child. We were looking for unique New Zealand-themed maps for our new home, however we couldn’t find exactly what we wanted. There was this idea of a map featuring all the incredible hikes across New Zealand, so our founder decided to draw one herself… while being seven months pregnant. Despite the impending due date, she poured her heart into it, meticulously detailing every aspect of the map, from the routes of the famous hikes to the elevation profiles and huts. She wrapped up the design one or two days before going into labor. As we got our hands on the printed version after our girl was born, we’re still debating which came first.
